Journalism on Facebook

Recently talked about the creation of “Journalists on Facebook”, a page with the famous social network aims to promote its use by journalists and media. We noted then that, today, the media seems more interested enTwitter, and perhaps with this initiative intends to occupy the site Facebook were predominantly occupied by the network of microblogging.
A CNN article abounds in this argument, coming to talk about “envy” and recalling the attempted purchase of the microblogging network by Facebook last fall.
The same article reports one of the steps more clearly show the firm commitment of Facebook to win over the media, hiring a “Journalist Program Manager.” That is, a person directly responsible for directing the recruitment efforts of journalists and media that have “Journalists on Facebook” as a flag.
Lavrusik Vadim was the person chosen to fill the post.
Until now community manager deMashable-occupation that already appears as something happened in your Twitter profile, “Facebook executives would have noticed him, according to the CNN article-by in his blog posts devoted to the practical applications of
network for journalism.
Among its functions, Lavrusik must convince journalists of the benefits of the network as a useful tool for work, but also change the mentality that Facebook has come so far in journalism. Already exists within a computer network dedicated to media relations, who will work with the new “Journalist Program Manager.”But as the Lavrusik recognized, have so far been more focused on business development initiatives. His new goal is to show that the network also has applications purely journalistic.
Beyond this recruitment, the network bet for journalism shows off the Internet.

things I think of my spring break with galaxy tab

I bring with me  the Samsung Galaxy in my spring break and I thought some things I wanted to leave them in writing, in which the Tablet helped me quite during these days:
Columbia: an underused or semiexplotado Airport: for those who live in Columbia (have only some months) have to go to the airports of St. Louis or Kansas seems to me, something that is not the case in my country of origin. Do 2 hours of Highway to find a "national" airport seems uncomfortable adding this experience the temporal and material, cost the availability of a car to transport (though Mox does well), but that is not also practical when it comes to reach a destination efficiently (attitude, availability, readiness).
Travel from the Columbia Regional Airport is really a taste, but is the other question: just to Memphis and only by Pinnacle airlines (DELTA) or locked up in the possibility of taking another alternative of flight to another city diversa… At least saved has 4 daily flights in a few good hours, a comfortable bastantae plane. Finally my first thought is that Columbia needs to look for other airlines and discover other connections which is why this College town it deserves.
Colombia in the heart of the world: get to NYC (New York City) for me always is a joy, a completely different from the other north american cities (sorry I'm not saying america because Cuzco is also a city in America). Travel to the interior of this city is really impressive… upload to the Rockefeller center, visit the Central Park, you don't need to leave Manhattan there this everything... but the most impressive thing was out looking for a place to eat and meet with a cup of coffee "Juan Valdez", If this brand Colombian to now will cause "fear" to the famous "Starbucks".
Feel as at home was a delight, eat a hot "almojábana", with a rich "coffee with milk" of my Earth...(some time do the test and remain eager), feel the Colombian heat in the attention they gave me really I was proud of my piece of Colombian land in the capital of the world.
Uncertainty: Ok, I admit that not pleased to was visit the niagara falls … not because of loneliness they have these days, or the cold that makes, or formed it were (well is a wonder even iced). Everyone knows that I am a Colombian, for us it is not so easy to travel, we need visas for each country we visited and this requires a series of papers and documents that fill, more money to be send… or is not easy for us travel.
Complying with all requirements to apply for my entry to Canada, eventually appropriate and required by the Consulate of Buffalo, I I asombré that not returned me my passport via mail, as I had said.
I went to the Office in this city and it turns out that it had lost… but the most serious problem is that I did not I care that get lost what my future was in the clouds and I ended up with nothing to study, work and return to Italy to continue my work there. They simply told me that I had to write an email and make a claim through the middle... all finish when someone said inside the Office: I get it. Therefore rest and will step the suffering. I was able to visit the Canadian side of the falls and back with this experience.
